Akura was awarded the construction package by Forbes Council as part of the $3.4 million Central West Livestock Exchange expansion project.
The scope of works includes a 5,000sqm extension to the existing sale yard cover, along with a roof structure for the draft area; asserting its status as one of the largest cattle, sheep, pig and specialist stock selling centres in Australia.
The CWLE project forms part of our U-Select™ offering; with Forbes Council opting for a customised Structural Package inclusive of footings, structural steel, roofing and an overhead sprayer system.
Completed in July 2019, the expansion will allow CWLE the ability to process 105,000 head of cattle per year.
