Akura was engaged to provide a lock-up package for the construction of this Resource Recover Centre; operated by Orange City Council and Wangarang.
Located on Ophir Rd in Orange, NSW; the project presented a number of challenges for the Akura team, such as required height, wide doorways, stepped and raised platforms, a corrosive environment, push walls for heavy machinery and the integration of equipment.
Akura’s scope included the design and construct of the footings, structure and 300mm precast walls – inclusive of the development of a unique steel restraining system for these heavily loaded precast, push walls. In addition, Akura managed the installation of roofing and plumbing.
