The first stage of this structural steel shed was required to be completed in time for milking to commence on the 1st of July. Upon the receipt of the Building Permit on the 25th of May, it took a little over a month for the shed to be up and functioning; inclusive of the time allocated for design, fabrication and installation.
Our client was particularly pleased with how well work on-site progressed, along with how all aspects of the project fell into place so painlessly; allowing him to meet his July 1st deadline.
The clear span shed measures 26m x 102m and has the capability to house 1,000 goats. The design was also optimised with a 3.5m spring height roof to allow for multi-purpose usage; providing our client the ability to store his tractor when the shed is not in use.
Our project scope included footings, cladding and steel work. In addition to having the ability to meet a short turnaround, we also facilitated a visit with our client to another farming property which features a number of Akura agricultural buildings to help demonstrate our capabilities while also providing our client with the ability to garner ideas for his own structure.
