Akura designed and built a new Wagyu Beef feedlot for Suzuki Farms – a specialist Wagyu producer supplying Wagyu beef to high-end Sydney restaurants and global markets.
Key to the integrated breeding and feedlot operation is an 840ha breeding block at Dunkeld near Bathurst.
In 2021, Suzuki Farms expanded operations to match an increasing Australian and global demand for top-quality Wagyu, requiring new farm infrastructure to house a growing herd of progeny.
Akura partnered with Suzuki Farms to deliver a 3250m² undercover, Japanese style feedlot. A wealth of knowledge in creature comfort, relationships with key consultants, and an experienced construction team meant that Akura could deliver a project to match the performance of Mr Suzuki’s prize cows.
